Khan Tengri

Ho scritto questo brano per un breve documentario su un alpinista che scala il Khan Tengri (7010 m). È ricco di timbri e colori che evocano l’Asia in modo profondamente personale. Più che sottolineare ciò che si vede sullo schermo – paesaggi mozzafiato e orizzonti sconfinati – cerca di trasmettere ciò che prova lo scalatore: la paura e l’incertezza di fronte alla sfida, un rispetto reverenziale per la montagna e il desiderio di abbracciarla, fino quasi a diventare tutt’uno con essa.

I wrote this piece for a short documentary about a mountaineer climbing the Khan Tengri (7010 mt). It is rich in timbres and colors that evoke Asia in a deeply personal way. Rather than underscoring what’s seen on screen - breathtaking landscapes and vast horizons - it aims to convey what the climber feels: the fear and uncertainty before the challenge, a reverent respect for the mountain, and the desire to embrace it, to become almost one with it.
